BUDGET ANALYST – SECRET

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Active SECRET

POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Budget Analyst will play an integral role in the success of our organization. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:

  • Writing standard operating procedures
  • Identifying financial gaps, future strategies, and potential tools for improvement while assessing project/program budget and execution
  • Writing and implementing internal controls surrounding the budget process
  • Assessing year-end closeout procedures, close-out reports, and reconciliations to determine adherence to fiscal guidance and recommendations
  • Developing and maintaining a database used to store budget formulation and execution data

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in federal budgeting/accounting and project management.
  • Understanding of the federal budget close-out process
  • Direct experience evaluating internal controls
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or management
  • Outstanding communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • Any financial management certification

WORK LOCATION: Washington Metropolitan Area
