BUDGET ANALYST – SECRET

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: |
The Budget Analyst will play an integral role in the success of our organization. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:
- Writing standard operating procedures
- Identifying financial gaps, future strategies, and potential tools for improvement while assessing project/program budget and execution
- Writing and implementing internal controls surrounding the budget process
- Assessing year-end closeout procedures, close-out reports, and reconciliations to determine adherence to fiscal guidance and recommendations
- Developing and maintaining a database used to store budget formulation and execution data

REQUIRED SKILLS: |
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in federal budgeting/accounting and project management.
- Understanding of the federal budget close-out process
- Direct experience evaluating internal controls
- Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in business, accounting, finance, or management
- Outstanding communication skills

PREFERRED SKILLS: |
- Any financial management certification
|
