The Financial Analyst I will play an integral role in the success of the Financial Management Support Services group. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:
- Formulating and preparing internal accounting guidance, policies, and procedures
- Analyzing and interpreting DoD accounting guidance
- Compiling and analyzing accounting, budgetary, and/or financial system data
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial status reports filed with other government organizations
- Providing support with preparing briefing materials, agendas, and minutes
- Discussing accounting issues with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service

| PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: |
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- CDFM or CGFM desired
|
REQUIRED SKILLS: |
- At least 6 years of experience in financial management in a Federal Government environment with a demonstrated ability in areas such as accounting and budget formulation and execution
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Terminology
- Experience working with or working for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service
- Understanding of Defense Finance and Accounting Service operations
