POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES |

The Financial Analyst I will play an integral role in the success of the Financial Management Services group. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:
- Formulating and preparing internal accounting guidance, policies, and procedures.
- Analyzing and interpreting DoD accounting guidance.
- Compiling and analyzing accounting, budgetary and/or financial system data.
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, annual financial status reports filed with other government organizations.
- Providing support with preparing briefing materials, agendas, and minutes.
- Discussing accounting issues with the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.

| PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS: |
- B.A. or B.S. degree
- CDFM or CGFM Desired
|
REQUIRED SKILLS: |
- At least six years of experience in financial management in a Federal Government environment with a demonstrated ability in areas such as accounting, budget formulation and execution.
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio.
- Familiarity with Department of Defense Terminology.
- Experience working with or working for the Defense Finance and Accounting Service.
- Understanding of Defense Finance and Accounting Service Operations.
