SENIOR AUDITOR II

POSITION DESCRIPTION

POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES:

Acuity Consulting, Inc., is a professional services firm providing excellence in management, assurance, and financial services by integrating the depth and breadth of our teams to deliver exceptional and cost-effective solutions.

The Senior Auditor II will play an integral role in the success of the Audit & Assurance Services group. Specifically, he/she will be responsible for:

  • Serving as an individual or member of group of auditors who are working to prepare audit programs, performing field work, preparing working papers, consolidating findings and preparing recommendations, and writing audit reports
  • Assessing processes and/or procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and multi-tiered system application standards
  • Grasping interrelationships between financial management requirements and automated solutions, considering the current system environment and the potential integration of added systems
  • Ensuring that tasks are completed in the time frame specified by the client, and assisting in the preparation of milestone status reports

REQUIRED SKILLS:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, business, information technology, or a related field, and/or equivalent experience
  • Equivalent experience includes 5 years of leading audit teams, with an increasing level of responsibility, to complete project timelines, meet project objectives, and assist in preparing briefing and reporting consistent with AICPA, GAO, and contract requirements
  • CPA, CIA, CISA, CMA, or other equivalent certification is desirable
  • Experience in accounting, auditing, financial management in a Federal Government environment with a demonstrated ability in areas such as government accounting, process evaluations, budgeting, and financial reporting
  • Has a sound understanding of both Federal and commercial financial and accounting policies

PREFERRED SKILLS:

  • 6–10 years of auditing and financial management experience, including at least 4 years of increasing responsibilities as a team leader or first-level supervisor
