Acuity provides a comprehensive medical plan, with dental and vision, through Carefirst Blue Cross Blue Shield.
Employee Leave
PTO: Employees earn 15 days vacation and sick leave per year for 0-2 years of service and accrue one additional day per year for each additional year of service.
Holidays: Acuity observes the following 10 holidays per year, following the normal Federal schedule:

Miscellaneous: Acuity provides its employees with partial compensation for jury duty, temporary military duty, voting leave, etc.
Retirement
Eligible employees may participate in a 401(k) savings and retirement program with flexible investment options. Acuity matches employee contributions up to 3.5%.
Life and Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance
Acuity offers employees life insurance coverage through Unum. Coverage is equivalent to two times the employee'?s annual salary or a maximum of $100,000; Acuity pays 100% of the premiums. Employees may elect additional, low-rate coverage as well.
Short and Long Term Disability Plan
Employees are eligible for short and long-term disability coverage through Unum; Acuity pays 100% of the premiums.
- Short Term coverage pays 70% of an employee's salary to a maximum benefit of $1200/week for a maximum of 13 weeks.
- Long Term coverage pays 60% of an employee's salary to a maximum benefit of $10,000/month.
Alternative Work Schedule
Eligible employees may participate in an alternative work schedule providing an additional day off for every 80 hours worked.
Profit Sharing
At fiscal-year-end, up to 10% of company profits are shared with employees.
Training and Professional Development
Employees are eligible to participate in on-going development programs through on- or off-site training courses in order to remain current in all aspects of their professional specialty and keep informed of changing trends in the business.
Acuity also offers employees Tuition Assistance for either undergraduate or graduate education courses or programs relevant to their position in the company or our line of business.
Flexible and Transportation Spending Accounts
As a way to offset medical and transportation costs, employees may elect to make pre-tax contributions to flexible and/or transportation spending accounts through Pro-Benefits.

All employees are eligible for on-the-spot recognition and awards. Employees may also be rewarded for identifying and recruiting new employees.
